A Finnish handmade utility knife for handling smaller pieces.
The blade material is hardened carbon steel, alloy: 0.75 C, 0.7 MN, 0.3 SI. The blade hardness is 58 HRC. The blade thickness varies.
The handle is carved from curly birch and has a varnish finish. The shape of the handle and the large width of the blade leave plenty of room for your fingers between the handle and the base.
To maintain the knife in daily use, rinsing the blade and drying it carefully is sufficient. The larger chef's knife from Kalastupuukko is available in two sizes.
